Life isn’t all watching Seinfeld reruns on the couch and stalking Mindy Kaling on Twitter. Sometimes we have to do things we don’t want to do, things we may have been putting off, things like cleaning our apartments. Lucky for you, we have created the perfect soundtrack to motivate you to get off the Internet and get your floors shining. So pump up the volume, dress up like Beyonce in the “Why Don’t You Love Me” video if you need to, and get to work. With these bumping beats, your humble abode will be ready for a Walking Dead viewing party before the playlist is over!

1. The Chordettes: "A Girls’ Work is Never Done"

This is a classic girl group song that connects you to the history of women’s work while you clean! Start your chores off by commiserating with these knowing ladies and you’ll forget a girl’s work is never done by the time this swinging tune is over.

2. Swearin: "What a Dump"

A beautiful ballad that harkens back to the Chordettes while casting light on the awfulness of street harassment. Channel that anger into productivity.

3. Fat Creeps: "Daydreaming"

A perfect, laid-back surfin’ jam for plotting what you’ll accomplish next on your to-do list.

4.  Miley Cyrus: "See you Again"

The beat to this hit is so infectious it’s sure to put some elbow grease into your scrubbing. You might want to listen to it twice for maximum “get psyched” potential.

5.  Solange: "Some Things Never Seem to Fucking Work"

This new album is full of songs funky enough to get you movin’ and groovin’. Some things may never seem to fucking work but you’re not one of them so stay busy.

6. Robyn: "Dancing On My Own"

One of this Swedish pop diva's catchiest tunes, this song will make you grab your broom as a microphone in seconds flat.

7.  Together: "So Much Love to Give"

A classic banger featuring Thomas Bangalter, aka one half of Daft Punk, that will not only guarantee your moving to the beat, by the end you’ll find yourself in a euphoric, cleaning trance. A great choice for halfway through your tasks when you need a pick-me-up. if this doesn’t have you shaking your ass while you work, I don’t know what will.

8. Free Kitten: "Oh Bondage Up Yours!"

This timeless cover is given a fresh makeover by punk darlings Free Kitten. Pogo your way through your apartment while getting your dusting on.

9. Britney Spears: "Til The World Ends"

Britney brings it with this high-energy dance hit essential to listen to when you're aiming to get things done!

10. Candi Redd: "Independent Bitches" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=)

This underappreciated track has a crazy-good beat and a super-positive message. Fun fact: Kandi Burruss of Real Housewives of Atlanta/Xscape fame has her own verse.

11. Beyonce: "Get Me Bodied"

If this song is good enough for the First Lady and her anti-childhood obesity campaign, it better inspire you to move your body. A little sweat ain’t never hurt nobody so sweat it out while you finish up a job well done.
